The Castleknock Print Blog
is a local community online meeting point for the people of Castleknock.
Locals will be able to access and search all their local information on this blog page.
The aim of this project is to set up to allow locals to connect personally and online, solve practical local problems, find ways to set and overcome challenges and set goals through open and fair discussion, communicate issues of local public accountability and develop a sense of connection through community ideas and comments.
Users can comment on blogs, interact and upload their new multimedia content onto the site as well as vote on their favorite content. The print blog plans to move away from mainstream media and introduce 'citizen journalism' whereby citizens will be paid to work alongside experienced journalists on media stories and partnership projects. The best material will be featured in the planned free classified newsletter every fortnight.
